Originally manufactured by Ed Rohr, the Balloon Buoy is improved for a much quieter operation. It is the most compact, most reliable battery powered balloon pump on the market.
This is a great little walkaround tool. Anywhere you are taking a little extra time to interact with your customer, the Balloon Buoy NR is the tool you want. It could probably inflate 600 poodles during an afternoon with one battery. It inflated about 220 full 260Q's in about 45 minutes before the battery needed a recharge. During the test the compressor got hot requiring a slower pace. The battery can be fully recharged in an hour. It is very light, tough and reliable.
Don't expect this pump to stand up to an afternoon of continuous line work, especially if you are quickly making 3-4 balloon, balloon hats or using large balloons for everyone. You could walk around leisurely making small figures for an afternoon. But cranking out balloons for line work requires heavier duty equipment. A PumpO or Pump 1 will work well for a line but you have to pump them.
The Balloon Buoy comes in a padded pouch with a shoulder strap and a front pocket. You can use the strap for over your shoulder or wrap it around your waist. The bag also has a belt loop built in for use with your own belt. It weighs 3.31 pounds and is fairly comfortable to use. The battery charger is a separate piece that comes with the pump. A name brand tool battery is used so they are safe.
